Meet our Residents

Swayam Patel
Glen Meadow Apartments, Franklin, MA
Swayam Patel, 10, (seen here with mom Tarulataben) spent his time during the pandemic building a model of his home at Glen Meadow Apartments (with help from his uncle while sheltering in place).
Dorabelle Johnson Smith
Essex Village/King's Grant, North Kingstown, RI
The late Dorabelle Johnson Smith was a WWII Navy airplane mechanic known as Johnny to her friends at RHF's Essex Village/King’s Grant. When she turned 99, during the social distancing period of the pandemic, her friends and neighbors let her know how much she meant to them by singing Happy Birthday as she awaited on her 2nd COVID vaccine. Unfortunately, Dorabelle died a year later but there are so many residents who remain at the property with strong memories of this trail blazer!
Sean Thomas
Seabury Heights, Worcester, MA
Sean Thomas, 17, never lived at Seabury Heights but he dedicated a new bench and made improvements to the flagpole area as an Eagle Scout project in memory of his grandparents, Jacqueline and Michael Thomas, who lived at Seabury for 17 years. Sean, a member of Troop 9, planned and worked on the project for months, including fund-raising, weeding, planting, brickwork, and building the bench with a plaque commemorating his grandparents, because he knew how important the property was to them, that they still have many friends among the residents and that the flagpole area would be especially meaningful to his grandfather, a US Army veteran.
Rachel Tresback
Binnall House, Gardner, MA
The late Rachel Tresback, long-time resident of Binnall House was knitting baby blankets well past her 100th birthday to contribute to the Project H.A.N.D.S. (Helping Angels National Donated Support) drive at the property, as part of an effort where residents of RHF communities partner with non-profit organizations to support to those in need in their local areas.

Mrs. Tresback was a native of Gardner, who raised her two daughters in Templeton, MA, with her first husband, who served in World War II during their 30-year marriage. She moved to Binnall House with her second husband, who passed way after 40 years of marriage. She loved to watch car shows on TV with her cat Penney, as well as sharing family dinners and eating fudge and popcorn.
