The event, from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at Mystic Marriott, was originally scheduled Oct. 18 but was postponed during the federal government shutdown.
The Military Community Support Award will go to two recipients, Country Glen Apartments of Groton and Fields of Fire of Mystic. Both Country Glen Apartments and Fields of Fire received strong support from their nominators and were chosen by the Chamber’s Military Affairs Council.
