Last spring Richard Henken, President of Schochet Associates, visited some very happy students at St. Peter School in Cambridge. He was there on behalf of Fresh Pond Associates Limited Partnership, which donated $10,000 through the Inner-City Scholarship Fund for the students at St. Peter's.
"Schochet Associates and Fresh Pond Associates Limited Partnership have already made a commitment to the people of the city of Cambridge through Fresh Pond Apartments, and now we are extending that commitment to the future citizens of Cambridge, by donating to the children at St. Peter School," noted Richard Henken. "Hopefully, some parents of school-age children at Fresh Pond Apartments will consider sending their children to St. Peter School where financial aid in the form of partial scholarships may be available to them. I am happy to be here today to see the great things that are going on in these classrooms."
"We are very grateful for this gift. It's because of people like Richard Henken and Jay Schochet, founder of Schochet Associates, who believe in giving back to the community, that the Inner-City Scholarship Fund is able to have such an impact. Through their gift they are making it possible for children to come here who would not otherwise be able to take advantage of the education offered at St. Peter S chool," said Sean Dunlavy, executive director of The Catholic Schools Foundation/Inner-City Scholarship Fund.
