For the past 3 years, Hampton Court has shown its support to the Northampton Survival Center by holding annual food drives towards the end of the year. The Northhampton Survival Center is an emergency food pantry and referral service for Hampshire County. Not only is it Hampton Court's goal to provide its residents with the best comfortable living environment it can, it would also like to contribute to providing the best community it can by reaching out to those in need.
Over the past 3 years Hampton Court has donated over 300 pounds of food and close to $300.00. These donations go a long way. For example, the Northampton Survival Center is able to purchase food for as little as $0.19 a pound; your monetary donations afforded the NSC with approximately 1,578 more pounds of food. Hampton Court has also told residents who are not able to donate food or make a monetary donation that they can still help: NSC also accepts Big Y coins and reusable shopping bags.
Hampton Court is hoping to make this year's food drive as productive as possible so it is only accepting unopened, non-expired items from the attached shopping list. This list came directly from NSC's website. To find out more, residents are encouraged to visit the website at www.TheNSC.org. If residents are interested in making a monetary donation, checks should be made out to The Northampton Survival Center. All donations are brought directly to the NSC and from there are distributed to those who need it. Residents can feel good knowing that 100% of their donation is going directly to those who need it!
Starting immediately until Wednesday, December 30th, residents can bring down donations to the office at Hampton Court, located at 20 Hampton Avenue in Northampton, MA 01060.
