Dover resident Richard J. Henken was recently elected clerk of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Schools Foundation. Henken had previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees.
In this role, Henken will lead the efforts of the board in helping to raise and distribute over $7 million a year in support of Catholic education and the foundation's signature program, the Inner City Scholarship Fund.
"I have been continually amazed at the work the CSF/ICSF does to support some of the region's neediest families by providing their children with the opportunity to receive a Catholic school education. Not only do our Catholic schools provide these children with a first-rate education, but they do so in a loving, nurturing and supportive way centered around basic Christian values. Henken is the president of Boston-based Schochet Associates. Henken also sits on the board of the Rental Housing Association, where he is secretary and chairs the Affordable Housing Committee; and the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service at Tufts University. He resides in Dover with his wife, Sarah.
