Rockdale Common is a 40-unit family and elderly designated community in the historic town of Northbridge, MA. The lovely two-acre site was formerly used to house the many types of millworkers in the area but was left empty as mills became defunct. Weld Management Co., Inc. worked to preserve this needed housing stock in a quaint town through private historic syndication along with Section 8 Funding from the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency.
The six buildings have been completely renovated; the exterior was cleaned, porches and stairs reinforced, and the interior fully rehabilitated and modernized to suit resident’s needs.
Twenty-six of these units are designated for family and an additional 14 for the elderly.
