Weld Park is a historic schoolhouse, in Roslindale, MA., which was converted to 14 project-based Section 8 apartments for the elderly when the state halted the Southeast Corridor Project in the 1970s and the Weld Park School was placed up for auction and purchased by the Weld Management Co., Inc. Weld Management received construction financing from State Street Bank and a permanent loan that was held with the local thrift savings bank.
Located in a mostly residential area of Roslindale, surrounded by many other historic buildings, and quiet tree-lined streets, Weld Park contains a wide array of locally owned shops and eclectic eating establishments.
